FET Subjects offered at BHTC
Learners now enter the final phase of their basic education and would by now have an idea of what career they would like to pursue. An accredited and qualified in-house counsellor will provide our learners with all the career guidance they require so that they may make an informed decision with regards to their subject selection and course offering.
The CAPS curriculum requires learners to take seven (7) subjects, consisting of four (4) compulsory subjects, viz. a Home Language, a First Additional Language, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation.
Learners must additionally choose a minimum of three (3) other elective subjects as per our course offerings.

Pass Rate

The availability and effectiveness of support services such as academic advising, tutoring, career counseling, and mentorship programs can significantly impact college success rates. Our institute provides comprehensive support systems for students to have higher success rates as we also help students navigate challenges and stay on track towards graduation.
The retention rate measures the percentage of students who continue their studies at our institution from one academic year to the next. A high retention rate suggests that students are satisfied with our college experience and are more likely to persist and graduate.
